Küçük Çamlıca Television Tower, or simply Çamlıca Tower, is a television and observation tower located in the city of Istanbul, Turkey.
Küçük Çamlıca Television Tower (Çamlıca Tower), which is a television and observation tower in Istanbul, is located on Küçük Çamlıca Hill in the Üsküdar district. The tower has a total height of 369 meters, with a 221-meter portion being a 49-story reinforced concrete structure and a 168-meter portion being an antenna.
The tower was completed and opened in September 2020 after being selected for implementation through a project competition organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2011, with the decision made by then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The opening took place on May 29, 2021.
After the tower was put into service, other antennas and antenna towers in the city were removed. The tower features two restaurants and an observation terrace that operate on a paid and reservation basis.
The tower was designed by Melike Altınışık, founder of "Melike Altınışık Architects" (MAA). The structure, which stands independently from any urban fabric, is designed to create surprising encounters using light, nature, and spatial voids; thus changing people's perspectives and encouraging them to look differently and think differently.
The design of the tower, which is a single-piece structure, is inspired by the tulip, which became an important symbol for Turks during the Ottoman period. The main axis of the tower resembles the roots and nourishing stem of the tulip, while the observation terrace and restaurant floors, which rise toward the sun, resemble a tulip bud that has not yet bloomed. The panoramic elevators that rise from the entrance floor to the floor with the antennas are located on either side of the main shell. These elevators symbolize the Bosphorus, which both separates and unites the continents of Asia and Europe.
From this tower, 100 radio broadcasts can be transmitted simultaneously without interfering with each other, maintaining high quality without frequency overlap. The tower includes an observation terrace and restaurant. Light shows are held at the tower on special occasions.
Çamlıca Radio & TV Tower has been positioned as a symbolic structure of Istanbul, along with a souvenir shop, café, and a restaurant where visitors can taste the most delicious presentations of world cuisine. With its observation terrace overlooking a unique view and interactive activity areas, it is one of the most valuable structures in Istanbul and thus our country. Thanks to collaborations with local and national technology firms, Çamlıca Radio & TV Tower will elevate the quality and capacity of broadcasting in our country to world standards and will significantly contribute to the country's development.

You can hand over your personal belongings to the cloakroom after security screening. You can stay on the observation terrace for a maximum of 1.5 hours and must leave the terrace at the end of this period.
