He is one of the great saints raised in Anatolia. He was born in Şereflikoçhisar in 1572.
He taught at the lodge of the Little Hagia Sophia Mosque. During this time he gave lessons in Qur'anic exegesis (tafsir), Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and hadith to students at the Fatih Mosque. During his stay here, he gained a wide circle reaching scholars and statesmen. Meanwhile, he bought the place in Üsküdar where his own dervish lodge stands. He raised hundreds of students in his lodge. The lodge overflowed with people, from the poorest to the richest and to statesmen at the highest level.
Today, as in the past, people flock to visit this man of the heart and benefit from his spiritual blessing.
