After visiting the Eyüp Sultan Tomb, go to the right of the exit gate. Turn right again at the end of the wall and enter the road leading to the cemetery. After walking for 7-8 minutes, follow the direction indicated by the sign attached to the corner of the second turn and on the slope of the Eyüp Sultan Hill overlooking the stream, there are the graves of Zübeyir Gündüzalp, Mustafa Nezihi Polat, Tahiri Mutlu, Sadullah Nutku, and Bekir Berk. When you go up again for 3-4 minutes, the road with stairs at the third turn leads to the grave of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek. Continue while admiring the view as you finish the hill. When you reach Pierre Loti, you can see the magnificent view of Istanbul.

During the Oceania expedition in 1867, he received the nickname Loti, which is the name of a flower that grows in the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to his profession, he had the opportunity to see the Middle Eastern and Far Eastern countries and their cultures, and he greatly benefited from the information he gained during these travels in his memoirs and novels. After completing his naval education, he received the rank of captain in 1881 and colonel in 1906. Loti, who visited Istanbul, was very impressed by this city and Ottoman culture, and later came here many times and lived here for a long time. On his second visit to Istanbul (1879), he met the woman who gave her name to his novel "Aziyade", which he wrote with an orientalist perspective and narrated the Ottoman period Turkey of that time.
