During the Ottoman period, especially in the early 1600s, the area began to gain prominence. At that time, the land known as Kazancıoğlu Garden, owned by this family, was purchased by Sultan IV. Murat and gifted to his daughter, Kaya Sultan. During the Tulip Era, it served as a venue for various entertainments during the extravagant Çırağan festivities, which were organized based on decorative tastes. The grove on the seaside of the wall, along with the Çadır and Malta Pavilions, was given to the Istanbul Municipality. Initially part of the back garden of Çırağan Palace, it became the outer greenery of Yıldız Palace, which underwent expansion starting in 1877. After 1940, it was named Yıldız Park.
From the upper part of the park, you can see the Bosphorus view through the trees. After entering from across Çırağan Palace, there is a tea house on the right where you can take a break with tea and gözleme after climbing up the hill. This place is operated by the Metropolitan Municipality and offers a refreshing escape from the heavy traffic of Beşiktaş. There are also areas suitable for picnicking, but barbecuing is prohibited.
