Built in the name of Cafer Paşa, one of the viziers of the Suleiman the Magnificent period, the Cafer Paşa Madrasa was built by Mimar Sinan in the 16th century. In its time it was used as a Hadith Madrasa. Later, in various periods, it also served the spiritual guidance activities of the Sadi, Qadiri and Khalwati orders. The Cafer Paşa Madrasa Culture and Art Centre has ten small classrooms called "cells" and one large hall called the "meşkhane". The ten cells are arranged in a "U" shape around the courtyard. The cells and meşkhane are built of cut küfeki stone.
