Emirgan Grove was gifted to Iranian Emir Güne Khan by Ottoman Sultan Murad IV in the 17th century. Previously known as Feridun Gardens, this area was later changed to Emirgan Grove.
It has changed hands many times over the centuries. In the 19th century, it was given to Khedive of Egypt Ismail Pasha by Ottoman Sultan Abdulaziz.
Three mansions were built in the grove between 1871-1878. These mansions, which have survived to the present day, are the Yellow Mansion, the Pink Mansion and the White Mansion.
In 1940, it was nationalized and opened to the public as a park with the initiative of the then Mayor of Istanbul, Lütfi Kırdar. Since 2006, the Tulip Festival has been held here every year in April.
It is visited by thousands of people every year in April for the tulip festival. The mansions are used as restaurants, but there is a picnic area for those who want to have a picnic. There is also a waterfall inside. It is also possible to watch the Bosphorus view from here. It is also very suitable for wedding photos.
