How to Climb the Roof of the Grand Bazaar for Free (2025)

Thanks to a special Grand Bazaar and Inns Tour organized by Fatih Municipality, it’s possible to go up to the roof of the historic bazaar with a guide.

👣 The tour takes about half an hour, during which you walk along the “cat path” and explore a large part of the rooftop.

🧱 During restoration, nearly 80,000 bricks were used, and this historic roof has stood for centuries.
