Yıldız Hamidiye Mosque is located behind Yavuz Selim Park in Beşiktaş. Although its name is actually Hamidiye Mosque, it is known as Yıldız Hamidiye Mosque because it is on the Yıldız Palace road.
It was built by Abdulhamid II (1885-1886). It was built after Abdulhamid II settled in Yıldız Palace. The mosque's imperial pavilion and prayer hall present a visual integrity on a rectangular plan. The mosque's small and high dome is placed on a polygonal drum with sixteen windows. Neogothic windows and a series of muqarnas add a different atmosphere to the mosque's drum. The star embroidery on blue, which is rarely seen in dome decorations, and the gold leaf on the imperial pavilion are beautiful examples of the mosque's rich embroidery. In addition, the minaret of the structure has a muqarnas balcony and the body of the minaret is grooved up to the top.
