Bakırköy Botanical Park

Bakırköy Botanical Park was opened in 2013. It has the tallest play towers in Turkey. Talking dinosaur statues greet you at the entrance of the park. Here, all the energy needs are met by wind generators and solar panels. The trees along the edges eliminate the noise pollution coming from the E5.

What Is There at Bakırköy Botanical Park?

At the Botanical Park, you can gain basic information about plants and learn their Latin names. There are 11 themed gardens from these plant groups. In addition:

• Sculptures
• Natural Pond
• Ornamental Pools
• Waiting Areas Built for Migratory Birds
• Picnic Areas and Social Facilities

The elderly and disabled can tour the whole park free of charge by golf cart.

Where Is Bakırköy Botanical Park and How to Get There?

From the Asian Side, those coming by private vehicle need to turn towards Bakırköy when they reach the İncirli junction; without continuing on the İncirli road, when you re-enter the E5 in the opposite direction, the park will appear in front of you.

For those coming from Avcılar: after Yenibosna, if you continue following the side roads you will see the Bakırköy signs. Continuing from here, you will see the green area and the Bakırköy Botanical Park sign on the E5.
